Mission: 

Actively preserve and promote the future of historic aircraft and aviation through the preservation, restoration, promotion and operation of antique and classic airplanes.

Objectives: 

Among the objectives of the San Diego Chapter of the Antique Airplane Association are the following:

• Strive to educate the public through members’ knowledge of preservation and restoration techniques and through operation, demonstration, and exhibition of antique and classic aircraft.
• Encourage and promote the restoration and preservation of historic aircraft through support of members’ efforts and through cooperation with the San Diego Aerospace Museum and other parties.
• Provide an opportunity for members to participate in periodic fly-outs to promote comradeship and as a means of maintaining flying skills and to promote aviation safety.
• Provide interested youth with the opportunity to achieve educational goals and involvement in aviation through guidance, encouragement and financial support.
